Individual Coaching

What would you like to shift in your ministry? Coaching empowers pastors to make adaptive changes that transform the church. I am an effective and confidential resource as I coach pastors on topics as varied as developing leadership skills, managing time, reorganizing priorities, developing work-life balance, navigating conflict, reimagining sermon preparation, or discerning a new call.

Administry is a weekly practice used to organize your priorities in ministry and beyond. Over four sessions I will help you adapt the tool and offer accountability and encouragement as you develop the practice of using it. Book a four session Administry package and download the accompanying worksheet.

Who do I work with? My clients are senior pastors/heads of staff, solo pastors, associate pastors, interim pastors, and judicatory leaders in denominations including the United Church of Christ, the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Metropolitan Community Church, the United Church of Canada, the Unitarian Universalist Association, the United Methodist Church, and the Episcopal Church.

I take particular interest in coaching LGBTQ+ clergy.

Individual Coaching Rates: $70 per session, or $325 for a package of 5 sessions. A sliding scale is available for pastors serving in part-time positions.

In this work I draw on my experience as both a settled and intentional interim pastor, as well as my study of the Enneagram. To learn more about my coaching philosophy, read Be Virgil – A Coach as Companion Along the Way at Columbia Connections.

Congregational Coaching

I coach congregational leaders and staff interested in reorganizing themselves to flourish in service to God and community. Coaching benefits congregations in seasons of transition, growth, and redevelopment, as well as churches considering closure.
