Call to Worship, Liturgy

Call to Worship – Epiphany 6A

One: Happy are those who follow in the way of Jesus.
Many: Happy are those who search for God whole-heartedly.

Oner: God calls on us to keep at it.
Many: God calls on us to be faithful.

One: Let us live by God’s commandments.
Many: Then we will keep an eye on the things that matter.

One: Let us praise God with faithful hearts.
Many: Then we will stay connected to God.

One: Keep faith with God!
Many: We hold onto God’s word and God’s way!

The Call to Worship is drawn from Psalm 119:1-8. You are welcome to use the it, or the image above, in worship.

Call to Worship, Liturgy

Call to Worship – Seek God’s face!

Come, my heart says, seek God’s face!
Your face, O Holy One, we seek.

God saves us and lights our way. Why should we fear anyone?
God defends us and keeps us safe. Why would we ever be afraid?

We come, O Holy One, asking for this:
Let us live in your house, and see your beauty, and bring our questions, too.

In the shelter you provide,
Let us learn all we can about you.

In this house of joy and praise,
Let us sing to God with all our hearts.

Come, my heart says, seek God’s face!
Your face, O Holy One, we seek.

Call to Worship inspired by Psalm 27:1, 4-9. You are welcome to use it, or the image below, in worship.
