Arizona

Arizona,red and brown
Orange, yellow,even purple–
Stranger of creation, I
Remember awe when I
First saw your canyons
And your rocks, the underneath
Of Earth revealed.
Now we are old friends,
You are long-remembered,
Your Beauty unfamiliar,
not unknown.

  1. I love Arizona. Wish I were there while the weather is still reasonable. The desert smells like nowhere else – creosote and heat.
