Church behind me, I now consider myself to be completely on vacation, and to celebrate, St. Casserole and I had a pedicure today. Here we are in her backyard, showing off our colors. Can you guess our OPI colors? Prizes, prizes!
Things look better here. I took some pictures today around the near area and we'll stray farther afield tomorrow. We hope to visit with a young RevGal who is volunteering in one of the very hard-hit areas (not her first trip, either).
I'm happy to say that St. Casserole's dear Aunt Bostick, with some technical support, has started her own blog. I hope you'll be kind enough to pay her a visit.
It has been my pleasure today to pet Sister, Whistle, Fish, Dubby and even the somewhat elusive Andy, the Homeland Security Cat.
And lastly, for the moment at least, I want to share a happy picture with you. One of the first descriptions I remember of St. Casserole's home referred to living "in the Pine Grove." I never saw those trees. Hurricane Katrina took them away.
But today, I discovered new life.
I called across the yard to St. Casserole, "Did you plant new pines?"
She shook her head. "That's what nature is doing."
