I'm a Conference Trustee, a volunteer position that sounds about as grown-up and serious as anything I've ever done in my short career as a pastor. Today we had our quarterly meeting, and naturally our investment consultant had to lay down his Crackberry and speak seriously to us.
After a long preamble, he said, "The fundamentals are bad."
And a little bird said, "Really? Because I have it on good authority that the fundamentals of our economy are strong!"
(Really. I really said it.)
He looked a bit puzzled, and then he made the connection. Chuckles all around–because it's better to laugh than cry.
Bwahahaha. Good for you!!
That is as good as Cheesehead’s $20 to her dentist.
Laughing! But, oh. ((((Songbird))))
What would we do without our Blackberrys? Maybe “Be still”?? I’m glad you spoke out loud. jlh
Sassy! I like it!
