First Daffodil

First Daffodil

Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip. (Psalm 66:8-9)

Bless our Creator, O flowers, who has brought us up from the darkness and has let our petals unfold in the sunshine! (Songbird 1:1)

  1. Didn’t know if you knew, but the May issue of Smithsonian Magazine has a big article on Maine!

  2. Yes, life is good here now. And I have a DG washing the floors at this moment! (And a sad dog in the garage who will get an extra long walk a little later.)
    When daffodils begin to peer
With heigh! the doxy over the dale,
Why, then comes in the sweet o’the year,
For the red blood reigns in the winter’s pale.
    (Happy belated birthday, Will Shakespeare!)

  3. Daffodils don’t grow well here, and I miss their lovely fragrance. Enjoy yours!
