Out of Hiding

Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.

–Zora Neale Hurston

Thanks to Kathryn Petro Harper for this quote on this particular day.

The storm on the East Coast is starting today in the general vicinity that Pure Luck is headed, so he will wait and leave early tomorrow.

We always go a little bit to pieces when he goes away. We have one of those shower heads on a handle (what do you call those things?) that you can lift off and use hand-held, and last night I discovered that there is a crack above the hose where water is spraying out in a rather random fashion. My heart feels a bit that way, too.

I remember being afraid to love. Then a too-tall man came along and brushed my cheek and took my hands in his and suddenly there was no fear great enough to keep my soul in hiding any more. The universe seemed expansive rather than overwhelming.

I love my Valentine.

On a totally different note I finally finished my devotionals. Thanks for cheering me on!
