  1. It’s all about the books and the music. All Consuming appears to have shuddered and died, and I wanted something more reliable for putting things I’m reading and listening to in the sidebar. I also like this three-column layout. It makes me feel ridiculous for paying $12 to Haloscan, however. πŸ™

  2. Hey, could you delete peripatetic polar bear from your blog roll? It links to the um, less, PG blog.
welcome to typepad. I’m loving it, and hope you will, too (although I admit I really hate that I can’t get it to inter-alphabetize both capitalized and non-capitalized blogs, but at least that’s my only complaint.

  3. PPB, sorry! I can’t believe it was still on my Blog Roll in the first place. Weird.
For those who asked about a feed, I hadn’t made the blog public yet, so that may explain the problem. I also added that “Syndicate” link above, but I don’t know if that solves the problem.
Chocolate? Oh, yes, there will certainly be chocolate. Sadly, however, my site visits will no longer be boosted by Google Image searches for apple pie. Unless I make another one this Fall Break and post a picture…

  4. You’ve been re-blogrolled. I like the new look. I have one too. What a coincidence! Mine’s still at the same place, just a different template.

  5. Very nice indeed. I like Typepad, too. Once you figure out how to do stuff with the lists, it’s pretty cool. Agree with PPB that the capitalized/uncapitalized segregation thing is annoying.

  6. I hear you revmom. Yes, it does look spiffy, and there seem to be nice features… but gosh, it would be hard for me to abandon the Little Blog That Could–she’s served me well for almost 2 years. Especially because I assume there’s not an easy way to import all your past stuff? And comments? (I’m also about to reach 100,000 hits!)
    Hmmm…

  7. RM: Well, I switched up my template a little, which helps. I like that we can do that.
And free? Worth every penny, I say.
    100,000 hits?! I’m not worthy!
But then again, I’ve only been at it for five months…

  8. I think we should all give up Site Meter for Lent. Sort of a group spiritual discipline πŸ˜‰
100,000 is the number of clicks on the page. Since journalscape lists the articles by title (which I actually like better) rather than having a big long blog, people end up clicking a lot to read stuff. Hence the huge number. Still, I’m planning a blog party when I hit 100g’s LOL

  9. I thought I was in the wrong place. It’s nice – better when the fresh paint smell is masked by coffee and chocolate.
    Did someone say chocolate?
    Oh it was me πŸ™
    be blessed πŸ™‚
