I guess this comes as no great surprise. Not to me, anyway. In Systematic Theology, we each chose one theologian to read alongside our general reading. My mentor and friend recommended Tillich (and was himself a student of Schliermacher). I’d just like to know where Moltmann came from (my second highest match)? Perhaps I have some reading to do.
Also, is Tillich really no longer influential? Maybe these people should visit my lectionary group some Tuesday morning.
|You scored as Paul Tillich. Paul Tillich sought to express Christian truth in an existentialist way. Our primary problem is alienation from the ground of our being, so that our life is meaningless. Great for psychotherapy, but no longer very influential.|
